Wakeboard by the hour
To simplify everything we only take our bookings on a time basis. The minimum time you can book is one hour. If you're on your own and just want to ride one set, we can probably still take you but we'll add you onto another rider or group - you'll jsut pay for the time you ride. The main reason for this change in policy is to minimise the amount of riding time and fuel we lose driving in and out of the marina.
Full Day/Half Day/Hourly Charter
Fuel is not included. The boat will be presented full at the start of the session and you'll be charged for fuel at the end of the day.
The full day and morning charters typically start at 09:30 and the afternoon at 14:00. Hourly charters can be booked throughout the day. Times may be varied exceptionally.
FAQs
Why is the afternoon cheaper than the morning? - Typically we do most of our wakeboarding in the morning when the water is at its flattest. To encourage a full day's usage of the boats we have discounted the afternoon.
Why does the hourly charter not include fuel and cost the same as wakeboarding? - We have a different cost base to our charter slots. A charter will usually involve more cleaning time both before and after the trip. Because the client can choose where we go we cannot predict the fuel burn and so keep it separate.
What's the cancellation policy? - You will be asked to pay a deposit on booking. If you choose to cancel within 24 hours of your booking, your deposit will not be usually returned. Before 24 hours you may re-book or reclaim any deposit paid.
Of course, there would be no point in having the best wakeboard boat to ride behind (did we mention that the MasterCraft X-Star was the towboat of the X-Games?) if we didn't keep all our other gear to the same high specification.
On board the boat's you'll find all the gear is kept in the best condition. The school wakeboards and bindings are provided by O'Brien. If you just happen to turn up at the right time, you may be able to have a try on one of our Ronix or O'Brien demo boards (you can test before you buy, of course).
Lines are provided by O'Brien, Ronix and Slippery, and we have a large stock of impact vests and buoyancy vests provided by O'Brien, Slippery and Jet Pilot.
Sounds on the MasterCraft X-Star are provided by Clarion and JBL courtesy of 8 midrange,speakers,8 tweeters, two tower speakers a 200 watt bass woofer with a HUGE amp powering it all. Bring your own iPod along and you can even choose sounds from your own collection!
Last but definately not least, safety is paramount so in addition to all the riding equipment we have all sorts of sea safety equipment, first aid, VHF and so on (and all the drivers are qualified to use it, of course).
